Good news from around Region 4

4Kids4Families Among Grant Recipients at Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation Ceremony

East Texas – 4Kids4Families is honored to be among the 53 nonprofit organizations selected to receive funding from the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation (BBCF) in 2025. During a check presentation ceremony, BBCF awarded a total of $125,000 to nonprofits and educational foundations across Texas and Louisiana.

4Kids4Families, a division of Arrow Child & Family Ministries, oversees foster care case management in the Piney Woods region of Texas as a contract service of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Previously managed by Child Protective Services (CPS), 4Kids4Families ensures that children in Region 4 who are in foster care receive safe, stable placements and the services they need to thrive.

“We are deeply grateful for the support from the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation,” said Belen Casillas, Director of Community Relations at 4Kids4Families. “This grant will enable us to continue providing essential services to children and families in East Texas.”

Brookshire Brothers has long been committed to supporting communities across East Texas and beyond. For more than 100 years, the company has contributed to programs focused on food security, education, and the health and well-being of the areas it serves. According to Melissa Crager, Public Relations and Corporate Responsibility Manager, these charitable efforts are core to Brookshire Brothers’ mission.
