4Kids4Families Partners with Annie's Closet to Support Foster and Kinship Families in Cherokee County.

Rusk, Texas — 4Kids4Families is proud to announce a new partnership with Annie’s Closet, an organization based in Rusk, Texas, dedicated to providing foster and kinship families in Cherokee County with essential items to meet the daily needs of children in their care. Since opening its doors in August 2022, Annie’s Closet has served over 400 families, thanks to the dedication of volunteers, including CASA advocates and local church groups, who give their time to support families in need.

Annie’s Closet, founded by Rhonda and Larry Brown, is deeply rooted in the community through Beall Chapel Baptist Church and Peoples Church. 4Kids4Families Community Relations Director recently visited Annie’s Closet’s Rusk location to explore and finalize the details of this partnership. To qualify for services, families must be referred by a 4Kids4Families or DFPS employee, ensuring that those with the greatest needs can benefit from the resources available

“We’re honored to work alongside Rhonda, Larry, and the Annie’s Closet team,” said Belen Casillas, Community Relations Director of 4Kids4Families. “Their dedication to serving the Cherokee County community makes a real difference in the lives of foster and kinship families.” This partnership exemplifies 4Kids4Families’ commitment to strengthening communities through strategic alliances that empower foster families and kinship caregivers, helping children in Cherokee County thrive within supportive and caring environments.
